The Case of Palin v. Family Guy (VIDEO)

Palin's Facebook note had over 10,000 comments last time I checked. I'd browse through a few if I didn't think it would crash my browser.Sarah Palin recently rebuked the writers of Family Guy for their recent episode involving a teenage girl with down syndrome. In the episode, Chris works up the courage to ask out Ellen, a classmate with down syndrome, after a near death experience in the woods. While on a date, Chris asks Ellen about her family. She replies, saying her dad is an accountant and her mom is "the former governor of Alaska."

Palin responded with the following in a Facebook note:

People are asking me to comment on yesterday’s Fox show that felt like another kick in the gut. Bristol was one who asked what I thought of the show that mocked her baby brother, Trig (and/or others with special needs), in an episode yesterday. Instead of answering, I asked her what she thought. Here is her conscientious reply, which is a much more restrained and gracious statement than I want to make about an issue that begs the question, “when is enough, enough?”...

Palin & Bachmann will headline Tea Party convention. Anyone else see a 2012 ticket?

With a cherry on top?Sarah Palin is slated to be the keynote speaker for the "First National Tea Party Convention" that's to be held in Nashville, Tennessee from February 4-6. Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) will also speak at the convention.

If you've been tuning out the Tea Party rhetoric, you should at least know that Michele Bachmann has been an active supporter of the movement and both a harsh critic of the Obama administration and the media (yes Michele Bachmann, CNN is stalking you, obviously). Both Palin and Bachmann were involved in the big "death panel" myth that threatened healthcare reform legislation last summer. If Palin and Bachmann aren't BFFs already, they should be. A Palin/Bachmann 2012 ticket would be quite the boon for liberals.

Think about it. If Palin and Bachmann's collective idiocy were to bond, its mass would be so great it'd likely collapse onto itself, sucking in light, interstellar dust, and any hopes of a Republican victory in 2012. Sure, liberals would have to stand months of the most ignorant and misinformed political rhetoric since, well, the last presidential election, but it would be worth it.

Not only would the ticket spell victory for Democrats, but the inevitable loss would be a great teaching moment for Republicans.

Politico Quickdraw: ObamaBowsOMFG-PalinsLegs-PatDissesIslam

Politico Quickdraw is for those busy readers who only have four-fifths of a second to get caught up on the most recent political controversies. Eh, maybe the article isn't that short, but it'll get you caught up while you tie your shoes before heading to work.

Was Obama's bow too low? Yes. Is it embarrassing. A little. Does it really matter. Absolutely not. This is really faux-controversy cooked up by the GOP. I often hear the argument that Obama is being overconcilliatory towards the international community. But let's be honest; thanks to G-Dub, our country has a lot to atone for. So, until foreign detractors start throwing shoes at our current President, I say we give the guy a break.

Why I won't be crashing Sarah Palin's book signing

You got lucky this time.It doesn't take much to make Oklahomans star-struck. Most residents go apeshit whenever Trace Adkins comes to town. So when I heard Sarah Palin would be signing her new book, Going Rogue, at the Hastings in Norman, I knew the event would be big. Oklahoma Republicans' colossus of a voting block dwarfs our poor Democratic sand castle. Nevertheless, with such a polarizing figure coming to town, Oklahoma's small yet steadfast liberal contingent will undoubtedly make an appearance; they'll either have the book signed for the novelty, picket, drool from a distance or just watch the sheep in disgust. But I won't be there. Why? Because it's times like these that we "dangerous" liberals get a chance to show why we're better than the opposition -- we mind our manners.
