Here's a little background on the band for those who may not have heard of them. Dirty Projectors is led by Dave Longstreth (Vocals), Amber Coffman (Guitar and Vocals), Angel Deadoorian (Vocals, Keys, Guitar, Synth, Programs, ets), Brian Mcomber (Drums), Nat Baldwin (Bass), and Haley Dekle (Vocals). The band Hails from Brooklyn, NY and have written an album that has literally shook the underground scene to its knees.

Dirty Projectors' new album, "Bitte Orca," definitely deserves a nomination for album of the year. Their 2007 album "Rise Above" basically put them on the map. Lead Singer Dave Longstreth, who almost single handedly wrote the album, creatively correlated it to the Black Flag Album "Damaged". "Bitte Orca," which was released June 9th, has yet to gain the recognition it rightly deserves. This is by far the best album that has been put out thus far from the Projectors. It leaves one to wonder what will come of this band in the future now that we see what they are maturing to be.
