News of NASA planning to launch a rocket into the Moon on Friday has created no lack of underreaction. Those guys have it all wrong. Clearly, Roland Emmerich got it right in his upcoming film "2012," or as I prefer to call it, "The Moon Strikes Back." Take a look:

I laughed my way through the entire thing. I'll never understand why anyone would fly a plane so low when the Earth is obviously collapsing around you. And it's totally obvious Emmerich is trying to one-up Twister's driving through the house scene. 

Emmerich: Fuck you Twister! My hero's gonna drive through a skyscraper!!!

I can't wait for the Michael Bay co-directed sequel where giant alien robots finish off any unfortunates left behind after the first end of days.
